ETA In The Community

Edinburgh Theatre Arts run a drama workshop in conjunction with St Ninians Church for the community.

This consists of 3 terms with a workshop once a month. Each term focuses on different areas of drama,  including mime/movement, improvisation, characterization and performance. We bring together all of these elements to produce a devised piece of drama that is then performed to family and friends at the end of the final term.

The workshops aim to give children an insight into the world of drama but also to improve their confidence.   Edinburgh Theatre Arts has always aimed to nurture and develop young talent within our group – these workshops are an extension of this aim by sharing our skills and expertise with the wider community.

The sessions are devised and run by Suzie Marshall, who trained at RSAMD (now the Royal Conservatoire) in Glasgow and who has been with the company for over 20 years. Suzie devises the lessons around children aged 7-11.

Dates for the next school year will be announced soon.  If you would like more information or to be notified of the dates for next year when available, please contact us.
